Post Malone Livestreamed a Benefit Concert from His ‘Messy Home’, And It Raised MILLIONS!

Celebrities are leveraging their star power to help those in need at this time of crisis. One of them is Post Malone, who gave a musical performance from the comfort of his home to raise funds for those direly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The rapper, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, is sheltering in his Salt Lake City home, waiting for things to get better. While social distancing, the Sunflower hitmaker decided to help raise money for the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund of the United Nations Foundation for the World Health Organization in the best way he knows: music.

Before starting the mini-concert, the 24-year-old reminded his fans to stay home to help flatten the curve. He was joined by three other socially distancing musicians, Nick Mack, Brian Lee, and Travis Barker, and together, they played 15 songs, including About a Girl, Heart-Shaped Box, and Come As You Are, for 80 minutes.

While he absolutely nailed Nirvana hits, he later apologized for his messy home. Post pointed out that he doesn’t really bother cleaning because he is focused on other things right now, like playing video games.

All jokes aside, the rockstar hitmaker said he is using this opportunity to work on an album, much to the delight of his followers. Of course, many of his fans took to social media to say that Post’s revelation was welcome news during this scary time.

Travis Barker joined the rapper in paying tribute to the famous band

Courtney Love, the widow of Nirvana’s frontman Kurt Cobain, praised the band for their efforts and for being able to raise millions of dollars for the cause. The iconic band’s bassist, Krist Novoselic, gave his stamp of approval to the performance and applauded how the group aced the act.

The money from the fund-raiser will benefit frontlines, patients, and the vaccine and cure research. Meanwhile, Google will match the donation for up to $5 million.

Post’s recent concert did not just serve as an inspiration to those fighting the disease but also gave fans a rare glimpse of his house. To be fair, his viewers didn’t criticize how unorganized his abode looked and instead, they focused more on his floral shirt, which seemed to be a nod to Kurt’s top.

Kurt Cobain’s Life

The Smells Like a Teen Spirit singer took his own life in 1994, leaving his wife and daughter Frances Bean who was only one year old at that time. His death shook the world because he was regarded as one of the most influential icons in alternative rock music.
