Will Archie Harrison Be Able to Return to the Royal Family After Megxit?

Archie’s mom and dad will probably go down in history as the brave souls who stepped down from their roles to carve their own paths, even though they belong to one of the most influential families in the entire world. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie Harrison, also lost his royal title after his parents exited the royal family, unlike his cousins Princes Louis and George and Princess Charlotte.

While the decision was made solely by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who is anyone to stop young Archie from wanting to work for the royal family in the future? That possibility is quite interesting because his parents seemingly wanted a quiet life away from the vicious press and the public, which is why they stepped away from their roles.

Things May Still Change

The bundle of joy currently doesn’t have a courtesy title because of Meghan and Prince Harry’s decision. However, once Prince Charles assumes the throne, Archie will be granted one in accordance with a 1717 decree issued by King George V.

According to the order, all the grandchildren of the reigning monarch are awarded an HRH title. Archie, however, could retain his status (without a title) but the Prince of Wales needs to reverse the law that is over 100 years old.

It is unclear whether this will be an issue for the former Suits star and her 35-year-old husband, but a source claims that they are fine with their baby being a prince.

Opportunity

Once Prince Charles ascends to the throne, there’s a chance that Archie could work on behalf of the king. However, the fact that the little boy and his parents are living in the United States could complicate things.

The Sussexes are currently social distancing in Los Angeles to help fight the global health threat. As per rumors, Meghan and Prince Harry are going to buy a house in the area, which means they will be spending most of their time in Hollywood.

By the looks of it, Archie will grow up in the United States, probably only visiting his royal relatives in the United Kingdom on important occasions. That said, he will need to learn the ropes from his cousins if he ever decides to work for the monarch.

It is unclear when the baby, who will soon turn one, will visit his birth country but judging by the magnitude of the coronavirus, it is safe to assume that it won’t be soon.
